The RUles
Site Guidelines
By joining ‘Magic is Might' you are agreeing to the rules of the site and the terms and conditions of proboards.
General Site Rules
1. Please respect the sites members and staff. We do not accept any form of discrimination.
2. You may only advertise in the advertising board.
3. Please do not steal any of the sites information, posts, graphics etc. Please also ensure you credit for any templates, graphics etc you may use on the site.
4. Please make sure your display name is in all capitals.
5. Please keep personal arguments off the site. If you think this may become a problem please contact a member of staff to help with the situation.
6. From time to time we will hold applications if we are looking for staff members. We may also ask a member to become staff, if we feel their contribution to the site is outstanding and they have the qualities we are looking for.
Roleplaying.
1. You may have as many characters as you like. You must, however be active with them all. If we feel you are struggling we may ask you to drop or stop creating new characters. We ask you make at least 5 in character posts with your first character before you make a second.
2. Please role play in third person only.
3. Although we have no word count, we expect you to post a few lines of writing minimum. We do not accept one liners.
4. Please keep all posts PG-13.
5. We do not allow GodModding or Powerplaying. This means you should not be controlling the thoughts and actions of other peoples characters.
6. We do not accept 'Stu' type characters. This can be described as the perfect character. Everyone has flaws.
7. When creating a thread please be sure to tag the thread with either (open), or the characters name you intend to roleplay with.
8. Please also try to have a posting order if there are several of you posting in a thread. This stops confusion and means no one will get left behind.
Applying to the site.
1. You have a choice of either a structured application or freeform. Please be as detailed as possible regardless of which application you use.
2. If you are creating a Hogwarts Student and are not sure which house your character belongs in, you may leave the house section blank and let the sorting hat decide.
3. Please be sure to read the species guidelines, if creating a character that is not a wizard or muggle.
4. Once you have completed your application please wait patiently to be accepted. while you are waiting you may post in the claims and in the out of character boards. You must wait to be accepted until you can role play.
5. Please make sure your applications and posts are your own work
Characters
1. All characters must have first and last names.
2. We are a Harry Potter role play. This means we go by the rules of the Harry Potter world. Please be aware of this when creating your characters. We do not accept characters from other fandoms.
3. We do not accept any new or lost relations to canon characters that are not listed on our canon list or known about in the Harry Potter world.
4. If you apply as a character that is a professor we expect you to post lessons. You may decide if you want to post one lesson for all years or split the years up. You may also give and deduct house points in character. If you do so, then you must post in our house points claims list.
Site Activity
1. If you are going away for more than seven days, please post in the absence board. It is important you do so as we hold regular activity checks.
2. Please try to post at least twice a week. Especially if you are a canon character.
3. We hold monthly activity checks. If you fail to post for the activity check your character will become unsorted and your claims up for grabs. On the second check if you do not return your account will be removed.
Graphics
1. Please supply an avatar of your characters face. If you are unable to do this, request one in our graphics board.
2. Signatures must be no larger than 500px in width and 250px in height.
3. We only accept human face claims.
