Liaz Darcy Aljosa
Fifteen || Fifth Year || Slytherin || Silence
Liaz Darcy Aljosa would rather be called AL! He is not a huge fan of his name, nor his status among the family who gave it to him. Al is his own person, a free thinker who would rather find his own path than to follow along the same old road that his family created for generations. Typical Slytherins, his family enjoys all things on the darker side of life. Having all came from Durmstang, their outlook on the world is negative. The current order of things fit the family very well. Their allegiances and professions revolve around the dark arts. as his father opened a magic shop in Knockturn Alley. Al was placed into Slytherin simply on the power of his family name alone. For him to be in any other House would have been forbidden among his family. Al, however, is far different than those with whom he shares his full blood. He sees everything in shades of gray; both right and wrong have their place in life. He has a tendency to see both sides of a story, and takes his own time making choices for himself and not for what might be popular. Everyone considers him to be quiet in nature for those reasons alone. Al is more complicated than that.
Liaz would have friends from all walks of life. He could as easily be seen goofing off with a Hufflepuff pal in Herbology as well as pulling pranks on others with some from his Slytherin house. Al could be spending time in study with that girl from Ravenclaw as well as playing a pick-up game of Quidditch with his long time buddy in Gryffindor. Although he might not have tons of friends, Al would have a wide variety of people he knows and spends time around. He is not one to judge, nor to allow others to judge unjustly. Al is simply fair to all Houses, Races, and Species.
Relationships beyond friendship has never been easy for Al. Not that he doesn't like girls, but loves probably have happened for the quiet Slytherin fifth year. He, much like any boy his age, is interested in girls and might have several small crushes since coming to school. No one has stuck, and he is single. He has never had a date, nor even a first kiss. There could be a future forever that he might know now, there might be a steady crush that he is flirting with at the moment; yet, he is sometimes awkward around new people when it comes to dates or the all cursed future first date.
Being in Slytherin and having the last name of Aljosa, it is obvious that Al would have several enemies. Yet, when someone takes time to get to know him, it would be hard to dislike Al based solely on his name and House. Someone who would be his enemy would be his exact opposite or someone that really doesn't like other people in the first place.
There is no plot I would ignore. Al is the perfect character to be thrown into any situation. He could be included in almost any group, and adapts well to any situation. Tossing Liaz into any preexisting plot would work as well as creating a whole new relationship for him. Basically, there is nothing he couldn't be adapted to do, and no one he wouldn't be able to do it with. Al is wide open to any situation, all we need is to get him started.
